Pinpoint Leak Detection

Real professionals that know what they are doing. They were the third group that came through over a number of years. The previous guy referred by our local pool shop (so called years of experience) told us that the shell was leaking and the answer was to get a pool liner which turned out to be a $10,000 quote! Paul and Avril found the actual leak (small hole near a rock step in the side of the pool) and a number of other leaks in the skimmer box in no time at all. The pool now holds water which is such a huge relief. They were also happy to field after service correspondence , will repair our pool light and also sourced a piece for our pool cover. My advice is just contact this business if you have a pool leak.An update after 2 years. We just moved back into our house after it was tenanted for 2 years. Paul and Avril did one more visit during that time as the tenants felt there was still some leaking and plugged up any further holes that were in the same area. It's been a month now and I haven't topped up once. In the past it was generally twice a week even in winter!

I had been worrying about a leak in our pool for a few months and was pretty scared it would be pipework under some footings. Had Paul and Avril come out and tested everything and thankfully there was no leak anywhere in the pipework. There was a leak around the skimmer box and this was fixed at no extra cost, all I had to pay was the initial testing fee.They also managed to supply and install a part for an acid dosing system at a lower cost than I could buy the part from a few well known local pool shops!

Paul and Avril arrived on time to fix our pool that had been leaking for some time.Their professional work ethic was amazing on a very hot day.Paul has all the equipment required to find and fix any leak without having to empty your pool. Whilst Avril is checking out at the pool surface.They persevered until they were sure they had covered all possible leaks.We are finally able to enjoy using our pool for the first time in years after many unsuccessful attempts by other various companies to find and fix our pool leaks.We would highly recommend Paul and Avril from Pinpoint Leak Detection for outstanding service and knowledge.

Avril and Paul were absolutely brilliant and delivered above and beyond my expectations. I cannot recommend their service highly enough. After a bad experience with another so-called expert (20 years experience) person, who charged me $300 to tell me the leak was on my return line and left me to find it....(Pinpoint charge less, find the leak, dig it up and repair it) Had him back after a weekend of digging up the skimmer lines and finding no leak. He just reaffirmed the leak was probably on the last bit I had not dug up and left it at that. I contacted Avril then and she couldn't have been more helpful. The leak was eventually found up near the pool shed, and they did a very thorough job to fix it. Of course, the leak was in an impossible spot and required relaying pipe and lots of fiddling around. They also found and repaired a leak in the skimmer that the other guy had missed. They were at my place until very late at night and wouldn't go until everything was working properly (there were a few issues with the pump priming). They also did extra things (picking up unrelated pool parts, disposing of old pump). The whole time they were fantastic to deal with, answered all my questions honestly and clearly. Just the best people to deal with and I am so appreciative of their help. Needless to say, my pool is running properly again for the first time in months.

Highly recommended. Paul was thorough and methodical and did not cut any corners in finding the leak in my concrete pool. I was so ecstatic as I thought it was a crack in the pool but in the end it was a hidden leak in a pipe between skimmer box and pump. Well done Paul for all your hard work and for the subsequent professional installation and advice on the new pump and chlorinator system.

I can't speak any more highly of these guys. We had a poor experience with another leak detection company who would not return our calls after failing to fix our leak.Paul and Avril came and located our leak and fully tested our system. They made a full repair and found that our salt cell was configured incorrectly.On top of that, they sourced a great pool cleaner that is really doing the job for us and the after experience follow ups were fantastic. I used Pinpoint recently to locate a slow leak on my pool. They were really easy to deal with and worked in a logical and organised way to find the leak. Thank you Paul for your very efficient service of finding and fixing an on going non-obvious air leak in my pool pump system. I was most impressed by your 'never give up' attitude in resolving my particular problem which turned out to be an internally damaged non return valve which was in a very inaccessible place. You confidently bit the bullet and cut out the suspected part and lo and behold we could see the broken flap valve which was causing air cavitation in the pump. Once the valve was removed my pool has never worked better, no air leaks and lots of water pressure. Well Done Paul for an excellent job.Vince
